Roadside Hawthorn

Watercolour painting of a hawthorn tree with white blossom, growing against a stone wall beside a road

 Roadside Hawthorn

Watercolour, 13 cm x 18 cm

Collection of King Charles III

I used masking fluid for this one. For those who don't know, it's a rubbery liquid which dries to form a waterproof film. When the first washes are dry, it can be rubbed off easily to leave areas of pristine white paper.
