The End of the Line

The End of the Line - watercolour, 16 x 26 cm £140 I always feel there is something special about these remote farms. They stand on the edge of the moorland, where agriculture gives way to wildness. It's almost like the boundary between the land of Man and the land of Nature.

Clouds over Spittal Hill

Clouds over Spittal Hill - watercolour, 16 x 26 cm £140 This began as a cloud study exercise from a quick sketch I made while out walking. I liked how it turned out, and fortunately I had left room to add the landscape in beneath it. The result is a nice example of the big skies we get here in Caithness.
