Ryvoan Bothy

Ryvoan Bothy
Ryvoan Bothy, watercolour, 25 x 36 cm

Ryvoan Bothy is on the old track from Glenmore through Strath Nethy. It's a quaint old cottage and makes a lovely painting subject.

Good morning Keith!... What a wonderfully expressive soliloquy... dedicated to the wild side of Scotland's landscape!

The presence of the home embedded in such an expanse of untouched majesty creates a perfect metaphor to describe the relationship of Man in Nature... underscoring our smallness.

Another gem Keith!

Good Painting, Best of the season... and rich Blessings!

Hi Bruce, yes you're right, the bothy is perfectly sighted to make a statement about Man's place in Nature. Interestingly, as it is visited by school parties, it's also the perfect place to educate about the importance of wild places and the environment in general.

Sorry to hear about your sciatica. Having had a bit of that myself , in my leg and especially my foot, I know how painful it can be. Hope you're better soon.

All the best,
Keith
