Clearing Fog at Ackergill

Clearing Fog at Ackergill, watercolour, 16 x 26 cm

I love foggy days, when shapes become mysterious and gradually emerge from the background. Then as the sun begins to break through, everything is bathed in a lovely soft, warm light.

  1. Hi Keith!... Fog does add to the mystic in a painting. I always enjoy those few moments when sun and fog joust for supremacy to win the day.

Your painting evokes a favourite line from Sandburg's poem "Fog"... something to the effect
that fog comes in... "on kitty cat feet" - beautifully poetic description of the stealth and mystery that you speak of!

A beautiful atmospheric effect Keith. Bravo!

    Warmest regards,

    1. Hi Bruce, "on kitty cat feet" is a nice description, to which I would add, "and purrs"!

      All the best,
