This is Coire an t-Sneachda, one of the northern corries of the Cairngorm Massif. The name means 'The Corrie of the Snows' and because of its north-facing position, snow can often be found here well into the summer. It's easily accessible due to its proximity to the ski station, and there is a good path around to it. A very steep path (The Goat Path) leads up from the back of the corrie onto the plateau above.

That nice pinkish orange swab in the middle ground provides a nice "stop"... and unexpected "colour surprise"!
